Thickness is perfect for pull-on boots. 1st purchased a pair direct from Amazon in early 08' for $69 which lasted about a year, shoes are still relaxed but scuff and crack very effortlessly in the major stop. I usually don an 8 and in order to make the size 8 function I've had to put some pads into the heel lest I walk out of them.
